Bio

As a seasoned real estate entrepreneur, Zach has almost 20 years of experience investing in, operating, and developing commercial property in the Western United States. His current role includes firmwide management and corporate strategy.

Prior to co-founding CVP, Zach was a Principal at Evergreen Development Company focused on land acquisitions, project management, and raising private equity. Prior to Evergreen, Zach worked in retail brokerage, overseeing the leasing of a one million square foot portfolio of retail, office and multifamily assets in Tucson, Arizona.

Zach currently teaches graduate-level courses at Portland State University’s Master of Real Estate Degree program and has also taught at Willamette University’s MBA for Professionals program.

Zach received The Stephen Chamberlin Graduate Student Fellowship from the Urban Land Institute and is a member of ICSC. He holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences.

Zach lives with his wife Kelley and daughters Emilia and Isabella in Portland, Oregon. He’s the treasurer of the Hillside Soccer Club and an active volunteer coach (soccer) and judge (climbing).
